"We have limited information at the moment, and we can't tell which group of dinosaur fossils they are from just these dinosaur fossils." Yang said the next step will be to expand the search area, and experts from the Dinosaur Museum have arrived at the scene to study the dinosaur fossils.
"The focus of this work is to find more dinosaur fossil sites around qinglongshan based on the revealed dinosaur fossils, and then provide a theoretical basis for the protection, research and development of dinosaur fossils in the Qinglongshan area." Yang said it is not only of great scientific significance to study the environment and species of dinosaurs in the area, but also provides resources for the rural revitalization of villages and towns where Qinglongshan is located for tourism and popularization of science.
At present, experts speculate that there may be similar or even larger dinosaur fossils buried in the area. "It is possible that the number and size of dinosaur fossils in this area are comparable to those in dashanpu, based on the outcrops of dinosaur fossils discovered in the wild." Yang said.
