The 6th annual Houston Magical Winter Lantern Festival
The Houston Magical Winter Lantern Festival has been suspended for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, against all odds and obstacles, the sixth "Houston Magical Winter Lantern Festival" returned on November 19, lighting up Houston's winter night sky once again.
What is the Magical Winter Lantern Festival?
It is reported that since 2015, the Houston Magical Winter Lantern Festival has been successfully held in the United States for five times, and has been praised by local tourists as "Disney from the East" and "Disney for Texans". In particular, in 2017, it was awarded the title of "2017 Best Tourist Attraction" by Houston Tourism Bureau, which was highly praised by local citizens.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, international exchange restrictions, soaring international logistics prices, difficult to find a container, high air ticket prices and many other difficulties. Sichuan lantern production company organized a lantern production team of more than 40 people from Zigong, who traveled half the way around the world to Houston and successfully completed the production and installation work under the condition of tight time and heavy task. Magical Winter Lights will open on November 19, 2021 at The Raceway Park in east Houston.
The festival, like previous ones, will span America's most important holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's day, ending on January 2, 2022.
